Letter From Japan
Skrivet i Tokyo - Japan våren 2010.
En uchideshi ser tillbaka:
As I´m sitting here, in the Tokorozawa dojo office, I can hear the morning sound of singing birds, and i can feel the warm air of another beautiful day coming through the open Windows.
I have spent the morning preparing my bags for tomorrow`s journey home. Back to Sweden after three Months of uchideshi life. A million memories and thoughts flood my brain as i`m sittig here and writing. No words can describe how wonderful, exiting and different the uchideshi life can be.
But one thing is for sure, this journey have changed my life and this have absolutely been the best time of my life this far. I feel that i have discovered a totally different world, with different Culture, and different people, and therefore different habbits and different Lifestyles.
In the beginning i can say that it took some time to understand and accept the very different daily life. The first two Weeks was the absolute hardest. At that time my body was in pain from all the hard training and i was in great lack of sleep. And also, everyday you get exhausted from all the new impressions.
But then suddenly, one day, the feelings changed. And after the two or three first Weeks i fond out that my body was responding to the training and i had learned how to handle the daily routines. Routines such as cleaning, cooking, training, sleeping and then more training.
Now i didn´t experience any pain or any problem at all with my daily life as a uchideshi.
Now i can rally focus on the onte thing i love the most, Aikido.
As an uchideshi i have come to experience a lot of things, much more than i possibly could have imagined. I have been through so many wonderful adventures and journeys, and i hope that i can remember them all through the rest of my life.
Everybody has been very kind to me, and i feel that i have made a lot of new friends and connections here in Japan. I feel that i have developed and grown as a person duning my time here. And i have learned so much about things i didn`t even know where existing.
I have come to understand that we must live our lifes every day and not just wait for things to happened tomorrow, or by themselves. I really hope i can get back here to Japan soon Again.
Some people might say that “there is no world but this one” and then onely reffering to what they know from their daily life back in sweden. But i can honestly say that i have experienced a different world, and i liked it. That world is Japan.
Special great thanks to. Kobayashi Sensei, Hiroaki Sensei with family and Igarashi Sensei for making this journey possible and for all the support duning my time here.
Also thanks to Kasahara Sensei, Koyanagi Sensei, Yamawaki Sensei, Henrik, Mikaela, Andy and Shinozaki-san for all the help with the daily life in the dojo and all the adventures we shared.
I also whant to give a Special thanks to Urban Sensei and my father ulf “okami” Linde, who have supported me so much and and to help me make this dream come true.
I have been told so many stories fromUrban and m father from the time with they lived in japan in the early eightees. When i look at their old photos and then see myself standing at the very same place as them, it feels like travelling in time.
Also a great thanks to everybody in the Dojo, and all the wonderful people i have met.
I concider myself verry lucky.

1. ungefär 8dl vatten i kastrull
2. salta vattnet 1krm
3. häll i följande ingredienser i kastrullen medens vattnet börjar koka upp:
Häll sedan i följande:
Sunrise, and the new day's breaking through

Sport is where an entire life can be compressed into a few hours, where the emotions of a lifetime can be felt on an acre or two of ground, where a person can suffer and die and rise again on six miles of trails through a New York City park. Sport is a theater where sinner can turn saint and a common man become an uncommon hero, where the past and the future can fuse with the present. Sport is singularly able to give us peak experiences where we feel completely one with the world and transcend all conflicts as we finally become our own potential.
